Eric Cloutier returns to Housepitality

Eric Cloutier returns to Housepitality on 3/9/16

Eric Cloutier has done a ton of deep digging over the years and he’s earned his success as a dj and lately he is starting to m0ve into the producers seat. He is a rarity amongs artists these days that require having a successful amount of releases to get recognition and international bookings. Since his early years a local Detroit dj before moving to NYC to join the Bunker crew Eric has developed a solid ear for body rockin and mind bending timeless techno tracks that he flawlessly learned to blend. This is what got him recognized and thus became part of that mid 2000’s Brooklyn techno movement which left a permanent impression on the city. The effort was of course let by Bryan Kysenic but a deep and heavy armor of Detroiters, Derek Plaslaiko, Mike Servito and of course Eric Cloutier among them.

Eric has been playing Housepitality every year since 2011 and we consider him a more than a friend, he is an honorary resident whose sound we respect and welcome in our house anytime, ever. Since then he has moved to Berlin to pursue his dj career further without a belt full of productions released. Once again his reputation as a dj got him booked at all the best clubs in Europe and a handful of invitations to play Panorama Bar in his new home town.

It is most important to note that since, Eric has released on a few labels, like Semantica, Wolfskuli but most notable to me, personally speaking, is that he released on Mosaic’s Split Series – a classic old school techno label.. I think its a huge honor to be part of this label and not everyone earns that.

One of the latest well deserved counquers and something that speaks to Eric’s artistry is his Resident Advisor Podcast (#502). We congratulate Eric on this success. The mix is hot and it is exactly what we all expected from him. Enjoy it here:

He shares his tracklist on the comments section if you dare and you should since this is something that the never ever usually does.. Find that here:

We are always honored to host Eric at Housepitality and its always a journey to remember. I think its also noteworthy to remind ourselves that the first time we booked Eric marked a big moment for us because it helped shape the musical direction for us at the time.. That was back in 2011 btw..

Joining our resident Victor Vega for the opening set is Dj Bean who is a skilled turntablist. Him and Victor play together for fun and have performed together before. Its definitely a successful sound that they put together and we are looking foward to it. Also in the lounge we are SUPER honored to host one of Chicago’s dj gems from the Hugo Ball crew, Glenna Fitch aka SOLD. This is her first SF appearance and she will wrock the lounge this time around and we are already looking foward to her return:)

Lets pack the house once again for this one..

You can find $5 tickets to our wednesday madness from the Resident Advisor invite only.. Peep it:

You can peep which of your FB friends are going to this show.. Or even more important you can invite your friends to this show if you know what’s up with Eric’s musical antics:). That is here:
