Alex Windsor:
Alex has been an integral part in the SF techno scene since moving here from London in 1992. He helped instigate, promote and was a resident at SpaceLab in 93, SF’s first techno weekly, also that year he was instrumental in bringing Richie Hawtin out for his SF debut. Shortly after in 95 he started, promoted and played at what was at times the only weekly techno party in the US: Mad. During its 2 years Mad introduced the bay area to such technoid luminaries as Carl Craig, Juan Atkins, Mark Broom, Neil Landstrom, Dave Clark to name but a few. From the mid 90’s on he has remained loyal to the true, underground roots of techno music as a mainstay dj for, not for profit, promotional outfits such as Friends and Family, Gateway Sound System, Chrysalis, MCJ and DEF SF. His sets are always comprised of cutting edge, upfront, super danceable, deep and luscious techno, focused on the crowds enjoyment and keeping the floor moving.
Jason Greer:
Jason is a local favorite, personal friend, and an insanely talented vinyl slanger. Jeniluv, founder of the Making Shapes parties in LA, describes Jason as “a record hunter with seamless mixes & conscientious programming from the underground sound of San Francisco. Someone i can trust with my ears & my mind, someone who I hear organizes his records into crates: LSD, Ketamine, Mushrooms, Ecstacy….” When not DJing and digging for precious vinyl, Jason throws We Are Monsters, a monthly party at 222 Hyde featuring both locals and out of town headliners, along with Mozhgan Shariat.
